ETIAS foreign tourist visas will be issued in late 2022. It
will allow these travelers to visit any country and all the countries of the
Schengen Area (an organization of European countries, including Austria, which
has no international border between member states) for 90 days.
ETIAS is designed for tourism and business. Visitors can use
their ETIAS to enter Austria to attend conferences, seminars or short courses
in Austria. However, students who wish to study at a university or other
institution must apply for a student visa.
How Can Pakistani
Students Find Austrian Permanent Residence 2020
The Austrian government has introduced six migration
programs based on education, skills and employment eligibility of the
applicant. Students can extend their residence permit up to 12 months to get a
job. During this time they may be looking for work according to their
qualifications and professionalism. After obtaining a contract of employment
from an employer they are eligible to receive one of the migration plans and
then receive a Red-White-Red Card and pay accordingly. The minimum wage and
rental services and facilities are controlled by the Austrian Government. Upon
receipt of the Red-White-Red Card the holder is subject to all rights granted
by the government and sanctions await the right to vote. If you continue to
live in Austria for 8 years without interruption, you are eligible for Austrian
citizenship on the condition that you obtain a permit from the police station
proving that you have been a responsible resident for all these years.
Can I work in Austria
on a Student Visa?
Foreign students can work in Austria while studying. Terms
and requirements vary according to the student's nationality.
Students from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and
Liechtenstein can work freely in Austria without the need for a work permit.
However, the university may choose to limit study hours to study hours.
Foreign students from outside the EU and the countries
mentioned above will be required to obtain a work permit in addition to their
